Chapter 13: Worse News

After much convincing, UCM headed back to Chao Club. There everyone, except LC11 and SL who weren’t found, were in the meeting room.
“Did anyone asides from MSC and Ace find anything or anyone?”
There was a chorus of the word no at the question.
“Well this is just great. We’re still missing two members and we now have three enemies to deal with instead of one.”
“Three?” Curt asked.
“Yes three. Lord Blood resurrected his father and The Assassin keeps escaping death.”
“I’m guessing Blood’s the one that attacked you at the farmhouse?” Kageri asked.
“Yes.”

A few hours after the meeting was dismissed, Kageri held another meeting. Everyone was there except UCM, who was asleep.
“What’s with the second meeting?” LC asked.
“This meeting concerns UCM,” Kageri said, looking rather freaked out and nervous.
“What about him?” Sean asked.
“Curt took a blood sample from him while he was sleeping,” Kageri said. “It turns out that when Blood attacked him, he also poisoned UCM.”
“Poisoned?!” Everyone shouted at once.
“We need to get the antidote within five days,” Kageri said, “otherwise…he’ll die.”

“Wait, how do we know you didn’t have something to do with this?” DT asked suspiciously. “He seemed fine when he was here, because of that there’d be no reason to take a blood sample from him since nothing seemed unusual.”
“DT does have a good point,” Sean said.
“I didn’t do anything to him. Why would I poison my own friend?” Kageri said.
“Why don’t you tell us Mr. Liar?” MSC asked.
Before anymore could be said, Ace interrupted. “Kageri didn’t do anything. I know he wouldn’t poison UCM.”
“How do you know he’s not lying?” LC asked.
“I know because I trust him, that’s why,” Ace said.
The other members backed down at that.
“Thanks Ace,” Kageri said.
“No problem,” Ace Replied.
